Vintage Design
Wonderful white table lamp handmade at Fyens Glasværk (later Holmegaard), Denmark in the late 19th. century. Originally made as an oil lamp and later, when the electric light was introduced, converted to light bulbs and textile shade. The opaline lamp was mouth-blown, which is clearly visible on the underside, where the glass has marks from the glass blowers tube. The glass is white with a hint of blue. The shade is the original fringed scalloped silk shade.
