Diplomat Z Table Lamp in Brass by Louis Kalff for Philips, 1950s

This elegant and quite large 1950ies philips z- lamp displays the exemplary talent of the mid-century dutch product- and lighting design during the post-war years. In the original catalogue it is called the ‘diplomat’
brass stem and details, matted black ufo shaped shade which gives a fantastic midcentury atmosphere. Thanks to the heavy base parts the light keeps stable. The design is clearly influenced by to the work of stilnovo, anvia and arredoluce of that same period.
fantastic condtion, no dents or warping in the shade, great polished brass, perfect working order, all parts have been checked, wiring 300 cm replaced ( max 250 volt ) normal e 27 bulbholder suitable for modern led bulb. Can be placed straight away in your home or office. ( the bulbs used in the picture are not included ) this piece has an attribution mark,
