Louis XV Secretary in Marquetry

Small Louis XV secretary in marquetry decorated with butterfly wings in a medallion.

Its facade is curved and its top is in red Pyrenees marble, molded and curved on the front.

It opens with a flap at the top and two doors at the bottom. The flap, held by compasses, is covered in burgundy leather (old) and reveals a tabernacle with oak bottom and sides. It is made up of 7 lockers, 4 small drawers and 2 larger ones whose fronts are made of wood and fitted with brass pull buttons.

The lower part, the interior and the shelf of which are in oak, closes with an original top and bottom lock.

Period: 19th century.

Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and waxed patina in our workshop. Locks and key in working order.
