1990s Peterboro Traditional Knitting Basket With Hinged Lid, Handle, & Wood Feet

This is a useful and beautiful large handled basket by Peterboro, a high end American basket maker.

Although Peterboro calls it a Traditional Knitting basket, this versatile basket that can be used for any number of uses beyond organizing knitting or sewing supplies. The basket has an adorable cottagecore aesthetic that would be perfect for your next picnic or for toting homemade baked goods to a friend. It could also be used to store magazines or a throw blanket next to your cozy reading chair.

The basket is made in the US from 100% American materials including hardwood Appalachian ash. It has a swing handle, hinged lid with a wood knob, and solid hand cut wooden feet for extra stability and to keep the basket off the ground.

The basket is in great vintage condition with minor wear. It looks great, is very sturdy, and all moving parts swing freely. Please see photos and video for more details about condition.
