Vintage Design
Glass sculptures on a mirror back held by a metal frame. Good vintage condition. This wall lamp is designed by Willem van Oyen in 1968 and manufactured by Raak in the Netherlands. The wall light is constructed of a very ingenious combination of mirror glass in the back and pieces of clear uncut glass. The geometric mirror joined with the irregular rough shapes of the broken glass form this fantastic combination. The mirror is held in a metal frame that is fixed to the wall. When the light is on it shows in the glass sculpture and up and down on the wall. Willem Van Oyen (1921-2004) belonged to a family of well-known painters. After his studies at the National Academy in Amsterdam he specialized in glass art. He designed and produced several lamps in glass for Raak in his small factory BEVO glasindustrie in Amsterdam. We have cleaned the lamp in our professional workshop. You can choose the bulb – standard size E27. There is a Raak logo inside the lamp. dimensions: height: 30 cm width: 30 cm depth: 16 cm
