Magazine Rack in Brass and Perforated Ivory Iron attributed to Mathieu Matégot, France, 1960s

Gorgeous magazine rack in brass and enameled and perforated metal. This stunning piece was realized in France during the 1950s by Mathieu Mategot. This one of a kind magazine rack has structure in gilt and bent iron that supports a rounded tray for storing magazines in perforated metal with a wonderful ivory color and enriched by a brass rim. It is completed by an elegant handle in bent metal which is enriched by a white and black braid decoration in caoutchouc. The unique object is fully original and in amazing conditions, the metal has some signs of patina which has not been polished to enhance its charm and historical value. An incredibly stylish magazine rack, perfect to complement an Art Nouveau style project or to be mixed in a Mid-Century style house. Dimensions (cm): Depth – 17 Width – 37 Height – 61.
